Product Manager (AU)

The Role

We are seeking a Product Manager with experience in managing digital products and driving effective and efficient development.

The mission of the Product team is to successfully deliver impactful products that create value for our solar owners and solar installers. We are always looking for better ways to help drive product improvements. You will report to the Product Director and will work alongside another product manager and our product delivery team, with your focus being on building the requirements and managing the sprint process. You will work on developing a range of products that are centred around a consumer analytics dashboard and its features, but extend to hardware control and virtual communities.

  • You will be able to demonstrate previous practical success in applying Agile to product development - ideally you will be a certified Scrum Master.

  • You will be an expert in Jira and the Atlassian suite - as a tool for running sprints and maintaining documentation.

  • You will work with a range of stakeholders: UX, marketing, research and development to develop solutions, build business cases and deliver great product.

The challenges will be:

  • Evaluating roadmaps to explore technical and consumer challenges.

  • Managing diverse stakeholders and balancing competing requirements.

  • Maintaining the range of product requirements as a ‘single truth’.

  • Quickly learning new technology.

Solar Analytics' are delivered via a cloud based analytics and data platform, built on top of a network connected fleet of energy monitoring devices.  Domain expertise in at least some of the following areas is advantageous: SAAS products, B2B2C products, Big Data, energy monitoring and metering, and IoT platforms.

Candidate Requirements

You will need to satisfy the following:

  • 3-5+ years of product management or complex digital production experience is essential, preferably in a technology startup or new product development environment.

  • A Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Design or related fields.

  • Experience with Project Teams ranging from 4 to 16 members.

  • Experience in development of user stories, business process analysis and stakeholder engagement.

  • Ability to recognize and lead the resolution of project issues and road blocks.

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent time management to deliver on a range of current and future projects.

  • Expertise in the Atlassian suite of software.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of the solar or energy industry is desirable but not required.
